Tribute to Mr. Pam David Pam (David Dabot)

It is with a deeply heavy heart that I pen these words — words I never imagined I would have to write, at least not this soon. Today, on behalf of the entire Jay FM family, I pay tribute to a man whose voice brought life to our Saturdays, whose passion for music lit up our airwaves, and whose spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him — Mr. Pam David Pam(David Dabot).

For many of our listeners, Saturday afternoons from 1 to 2pm were sacred. Jay Reggae Time was not just a programme — it was a ritual. It was comfort. It was joy. And at the heart of it was Mr. Pam David Pam(David dabot) — his voice rich with warmth, his laughter infectious, and his love for reggae music unmistakable. He didn’t just play music; he told stories, built bridges, and connected souls. Through every beat, every lyric, every carefully chosen song, he gave his listeners a piece of himself.

But beyond the mic and the music, David was more than a colleague. His unwavering dedication to his craft set a standard that will be hard to match, and impossible to forget.

What made David special wasn’t just his talent, but the purity of his heart. He never sought applause — yet he earned our deepest admiration. He never demanded attention — yet he commanded our greatest respect. In his quiet way, he taught us the value of consistency, the power of passion, and the beauty of simply being true to oneself.

As we grapple with the weight of this loss, we also celebrate a life well lived. David may be gone from our sight, but he lives on in the echoes of the music he loved, in the memories we hold dear, and in the hearts of the countless lives he touched — on and off the air.

To his beloved family, we share in your grief, and we stand with you in this difficult time. Please know that David was loved, cherished, and celebrated by us all. His name at Jay FM will never fade.

Rest peacefully, David. Your voice may have gone silent, but your song will play on — forever.
