To our religious bigots, can you go to the market now and present your Christian or Muslim identity to buy goods at cheaper price? To our party diehards, can you drive into filling station and present your PDP or APC membership card to get fuel at cheaper rate? To the regional fanatics, Kindly go to PHCN and tell them I am from the North, South, East or West, can you buy tariff at lower rate? To our ethnic chauvinists, go to food market and tell them I am Hausa, Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba etc will they sell a bag of rice to you at N7000? No doubt the political elites have mastered our gullible psychology which is blinded by parochial sentiments, they therefore capitalized on this weakness to gamble with our future.

We are all facing hard times, We are united in hunger, We are friends in poverty, We are neighbors in pains We are relatives in bad roads, We are partners in insecurity, We are brothers and sisters in complaints, We are equal in trouble just to mention but few. With all these once it’s election period, we are divided by religion, political parties, region, tribe, section etc.

When shall we unite and defeat injustice, which is the common enemy of our unity? When shall we realize that our religious, ethnic and partisan differences should be our strength and not weakness? If I was born in Southern Nigeria, I would have either be en called Diprieye, Nwogu or Adeboye or if I was born in Sokoto, Gusau or Bauchi, I would have been called Suleiman. That I am Solomon, Tarok Christian from Langtang South is by grace, did I vote for it? Then why will I hate any other person because of religion, tribe or party?
