NDE DANTALA DEWAN || THE TRUE STRENGTH AND ESSENCE OF AFRICAN SOUND AND ART ||

From time immemorial, greatness landed in Africa and since then, the veins through which our rivers flow, spread through which our lands lie, warmth of which we share, an ancestry cherished with an immortal history, the true spirit of Africa emerges and leads a generation of evolution and manifestation, and, as it is true, a flock of sheep led by a lion is better than a pride of lions led by the sheep.

The sound, the Art, the Music, The history, the culture, the beliefs, the anxiety, the spirit, the soul, the truth!

African music over the years, has suffered the infiltration of western tenets and fusion. To this end the goal of #Ndengdengmusic is to provide sustainability and preservation of the five keys, tones and pitches (pentatonic scale) that form the very basis of most African sounds in music as against the seven keys limit of the western (foreign) style and scale of music. In most instances, African sounds are forced to speak the western language which in reality, alters the gravity of our African modular schedule of music. However, the opposite is the case with #ndengdengmusic which maintains the purity of African sound.

In the coming years, I am inviting my fellow African music enthusiasts and creators to join me on stage as we separate the “true strength and essence of African sound and art” with a vision to uphold and sustain our values for the benefit of generations to come.
