Don't delude yourself. Life is a competition and you have enemies. Understanding these two basic facts of life will help you to always be fully prepared, deliberate and strategic about your plan of action. There are people who will not rest until you fail. There are those who'll not rest until you die. There are people whom, as long as they are alive, will ensure that you never experience peace. What makes these people happy is what makes you sad. Your failures triggers their excitement. These things didn't start today. The world has always been like this. Scripture is replete with stories and examples of how great men and women fail to or defeated their enemies.

Persons who says they do not have enemies are ignorants who are not ready for this world. There are two basic realities of life — everyone having enemies is number one — everyone realising that they must succeed or defeat their enemies is number two. Throughout your life, you'll be fighting against forces that are unbent in their resolve to destroy your destiny or kill you — and that's what makes life a competition.

You need to understand how this life works to survive it. Every single day, and in whatever you do, you must have your enemies in mind. Their resistance and opposition can be the catalyst you need to attain greatness, if you channel your energy positively. Refuse to live a carefree life. Happy new month.
