JOS SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT HOLDS A SOLEMN ASSEMBLY PRAYER AND INAUGURAL THANKS GIVING SERVICE (PRESS STATEMENT)

The prayers headed by the council chaplain, Davou Chuwang is the first of its kind since the inception o the local government.
The service is a solemn call to God regarding the peace and security of the nation, the economy as well as unity among all irrespective of religious or ethnic background.
Declaring the event open, Executive Chairman of Jos South Local Government Council Ambassador Gideon Dandereng posits that what saw the local government on the part of success since he came on board is the support and contributions of the Church, noting that the power of prayers and Thanksgiving can not be overemphasized.
Ambassador Gideon Dandereng stressed that the solemn assembly prayer and Thanksgiving has come to stay in the local government and will be observed every end of month.
Ambassador Gideon Dandereng who doubles as an apostle emphasized that the event is geared towards providing spritual rejuvenation for those in service of the Local Government and pubic service.
Council chaplain of Jos South Local Government Council, Apostle Chuwang Davou re-echoed that the aim of the service is to establish an altar of intercession acknowledging the supremacy of the almighty God over the local Government and the leaders.
The Chaplain added that prayers in line with biblical injunction for those in authority will help in building a new generation of God fearing leaders who will lead by example.
The prayers which had in attendance staff of Jos South, councillors, political appointees, traditional rullers amongst many others featured song ministrations from various groups.
Good will messages came from the APC Chairman of Jos South, Pam Mwanvwang.
