STOP SUGARCOATING THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST || MAIWA'AZI HOSEA FWANGMUN

This little piece is an offshoot of a quote I saw on my brother, Solomon Izang Ashoms' Facebook wall by R. C. Sproul. It reads: "I get irritated when I hear preachers say, “Come to Jesus and all your problems will be over.” That's just simply a lie". -R.C. Sproul It is worthy of note that when Saul of Tarsus who later became Apostle Paul encountered our Lord Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, he was directed to a man called Annanias and God told him that Paul was his chosen vessel and that he will be shown the things that he must suffer for his name sake. (Acts 9:15-16). What a way to welcome a new convert! 😀 Just imagine that as a new convert, God began to show you the things that you MUST SUFFER for his name sake. I believe todays 21st century "Christians" will begin to shout "I reject it", "that's not my portion", "I curse that evil voice", "I say back to sender", "over my dead body", etc. Why? Because the way the Gospel is being presented today, it makes it looks as if the Christian life is all rosey. Yet, Jesus and the early Apostles, have always maintained that as you come to Christ, there's a cross to carry and a cup of suffering to drink from.
Jesus said in Luke 14:26-27 that: "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple". Apostle Paul admonished brother Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:12 that: "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution". Apostle Peter went home rejoicing for being beaten for preaching the gospel, they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer for Christ. Apostle Paul finally put it this way: And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. (2 Corinthians 1:7) The question now is why is today's gospel contradicting the original gospel? Today, our modern day preachers paints a rosey and fake utopian picture to you that if you come to Christ all your problems will be over just like advertisers who try to use what is called mere-puff to advertise their products, but what you see it's not what you usually get. Who has done this? I believe an enemy has done this. Beware of another gospel friends! I'm your friend and brother, Maiwa'azi Hosea Fwangmun
