[Article] MOST UPCOMING GOSPEL MUSICIANS ARE LAZY, UNSERIOUS AND UNPRODUCTIVE || THREEKAY JINANG ||

On the other hand 🖐️ we the young upcoming musicians are very unserious and unproductive set of people.

We just want to sit at the comfort of our homes pressing our phones and watching TV all day, hoping one day a big record label will sign us, market our music, put us on big stage and give us a lot of money to flex.

Our elderly ones in the music industry did it all when there was no studios around, no social media and the internet, in fact no cds. The world felt their impact using tapes and Church programs. A lot of them even made their names without these musical equipments we now see everywhere cos you hardly see live bands when we were still kids. 

We the up comings grew up in an Era where studios are in our neighborhoods, blogs and media houses everywhere, in fact there are about ten (10) radio stations in my very own city Jos. And yet we up comings cannot amount for anything. All we want is help, help, help. OK sit down there, they will come and meet you at home and help you.

Some of us that were previlaged to grew up in a studio have seen different kinds of new artists, some can't even sing on key nor follow timing and na their types dey shout marketer marketer marketer pass. They will manage to record one gospel album and for the next ten years you won't hear from them again. No recordings, no organzing concerts, no music promo, not attending people's programs. 

A lot of my fellow brothers and friends you can only see them in programs only when you go to a program in their Angwa. They hardly travel out to their neighboring towns for programs where they will pay 200 naira transport money. We don't know how our elderly ones toiled from one program to the other, in different towns. Ernest Dades told me that for the past twenty something years he never spent up a month without ministering in 2, 3 or more places until Corona Lockdown came. And mind you is not every ministration that they are getting paid or given honororium. But our upcoming guys can spend the whole year without any impact in the music industry and they are OK with that, I wonder how they do that. There are few serious ones which I know God will surely raise them for his own glory but I want our new guys to know that even luck has criteria. As the saying goes, no guts no glory. You never served any body and you want to be a master is not possible. The energy you put in determines the outcome of your result. And when you here me talk about energy ⚡ there's prayer inclusive. One of the secret of my brother Ezra Jinang's success in music is prayers. Most of us the new guys don't have time for God's word and Church and we want to succeed in gospel music ministry. I doubt if it will work out that way. We should work hard and stop thinking of this thing called "Help" "Help" "Help" you have you helped anybody?
